Our fourth day at the Queen St Markets where we had an information table was on Saturday 3rd October.

We attracted the attention of about twenty people. About twelve people stopped for an extended conversation. We distributed more brochures on Worm Farming and Easy Natural Cleaning, free compact fluorescent lamps donated by Philips Lighting, and non-plastic veggie bags.

We were once again pleased to get quite a lot of positive feedback from our visitors. This heartens us in our efforts to raise the awareness of the community of the threats posed by peak oil and climate change. We will continue to put our efforts into the Awareness Raising phase of our work.

We have not been able to carry out these activities in November and December because of commitments to other activities in the town such as the International Festival and the Lions Christmas Tree. The next occasion will be Saturday 6th February.
