2 weekends left before swingin weddings and burning men! (we'll have
the dancefloor at moonbase, right?)
july 27 came and went and i didn't make any plans to get a swing class
together, but was wondering if there was enough interest (and time) to
get one set up this weekend or next. we have a few options:
1. metronome ballroom. they seem to have a flexible schedule, plenty
of good teachers, and space available in potrero hill. it's $16/pp for
about an hour long class.
2. jenna and steve- they're the ones running "camp swing" and are the
unbelievably cute couple that teach at broadway studios most tuesdays.
they Rock (ooh, kathryn capitalizes for emphasis!) and jenna says they
do parties or group classes. (or parties centered around a group class)
i have yet to ask about prices / schedule.
in any case, we'll be swingin at broadway studios on tuesday as usual,
and the classes are actually pretty good. i've been learning a lot each
week, and there's plenty of time to practice with the live band, too.
i've heard strong rumors of interest in a "private" class, so will toss
out the idea of this saturday, august 10th, noonish/early afternoon?
alternatively, sunday the 18th, same general time? is $16/hour lesson
about what people are willing to spend? if jenna and steve are more,
would people still be interested? we'd get two teachers, plus hopefully
more time...
