Although we are sorry to say that the first Caffè Proust will close on
September 14, we are happy to announce that we will be reopening in a much
better location very soon. We're closing with a gala party on Saturday,
September 14, with regular dinner service, and a splendid array of musicians
that have entertained us over the last two years.

We are selling almost everything, as the cost of moving and storage is far
greater than the cost of replacing what we have-and we are looking forward
to
an entirely fresh start. Many items have been sold already, but there's
still
a whole lot more. Whatever is not sold by Saturday night will be available
at
a closing sale on Sunday the 15th,  from 2 to 6 PM. All items must be taken
away by Sunday at 6.

Please pass the word along to anyone who might be interested in a last night
of dinner at the old location or a souvenir of Proust #1. Call for
reservations or information, 415.345.9560. We hope to see you before we
close, and in the new location before too long!
