(But as always, I'm happy to remove you from the list.) I'm writing today as I need helpers for an installation my brother Barnaby and I are doing at Burning Man this year. (Of the six volunteers we thought we might get, it turns out not one is actually making it. So we're suddenly short-staffed and nervous!) Details of the art project itself can be found here: http://www.quietamerican.org/bm2003.html Basically, it's a three-dimensional constellation of oil lanterns (familiar to 964 event attendees...) arranged to create a multi-colored prayer wheel with a mantra hidden in it along lines of sight. We're looking for install-assistance early in the week (probably Monday, Tuesday, maybe Wednesday); and small teams of 'lamplighters' every dusk (for about an hour) to light the lamps.
