Football, what football? Tomorrow is Australia Day, the (um, let's
see...) 215th anniversary of the British invasion of God's own country.
More excitingly, to me at least, Claire is one month old this weekend.

Accordingly, and if this wonderful weather holds, we're planning a
last-minute picnic in Golden Gate Park. Sorry about the short notice!

WHO? Rachel, Jeremy, Jeremy's mother Jan, Claire, Ian, Kat, Peter the
Rocket Scientist and all the other patriotic Australians and fellow
travellers we can woo.

WHAT? Food, wine and anecdotes about life in the old country! Iced Vo
Vos will be provided (thanks Jan!)

WHEN? Tomorrow (Sunday January 26th), 1.30pm.

WHERE? The Australian gardens in Strybing Arboretum, of course. Map:

http://www.strybing.org/Gardens/index.html

Park near the Friends gate and head down to the Wildfowl Pond: we
should be somewhere around there. Call 415 235 1453 if it's raining or
you're lost.

WHY? So we can say "nappy" and put things in the "boot" of our car and
carry "torches" without fear of mockery!

Hope to see you there,
R
