Moree is a pleasant place and, because we could not find any bush camp sites within 50 kilometres (I later checked another of our reference books and found two within 20 km), we stopped in a caravan park on the banks of the Mehi River.
The river at the moment is a bit like the Yarra, too thick to swim in and too thin to plow.
