The drive through the Clarence River valley is not the prettiest in Australia. Added to this, the state of the road is not as good as than one would like.

After Yamba the road gets quite hilly. The countryside is lush and green and the views are very pleasant.

We saw lots of raptors as we drove into Brunswick Shire. Several Kestrels and some larger light brown birds, possibly Square-tailed Kite or Brown Falcon.

The caravan park is right on the river bank and the ocean is only just the other side of a narrow spit of land so the sound of the surf can be heard in the background behind the ever present birdsong.
