We set off towards Mallacoota but the weather is not propitious.

We took morning tea in Bairnsdale in a little park down by the river.

On to Bruthen where we saw a little caravan park and decided to veg out beside the river.

The caretaker told us that a flood came through here not eighteen months ago and removed twenty metres of the bank of the river just outside the park fence. The debris is still visible at the top of the bridge piers a couple of metres above the level of the park.
