Monday 9th

Heading for Ashby to visit the Kerrs, we stopped in Armidale to do the shopping and then headed north.

We had lunch at the Broady Woodlands Park just outside Glen Innes and then set off at two o'clock to go down the range to Grafton. I had miscalculated how far it was - 150 km rather than the expected 100 km (100 miles rather than 60 miles) - and it took us until just after four o'clock to get there. After stopping to buy some diesel, we arrived at Ashby just on five o'clock having travelled 325 km (200 miles).

We were royally greeted and entertained to dinner and we chatted well into the night.

Tuesday 10th

We slept in till late and, after lunch, I tried once again to seal the water inlet. we dined again with Les and Val because they wouldn't let me cook.

Wednesday 11th

We went to The Spice Rack in Yamba for dinner. Mick Hundal was most welcoming and the food was as good as ever.

Thursday 12th

I had a bad sore throat so I decided to veg out. Unfortunately, we had a problem with the grey water system which took some time to sort out but I got a fair bit of rest.

Friday 13th

The others went to Coffs Harbour while I veged out again.

In the evening we went to the pub in Maclean for whiting and chips washed down with schooners of old (or midis of light depending on gender).
