We had planned to stop in the Bendemeer Showground but decided to take a detour off the main road to visit Chaffey Dam which has been mentioned in the Chapter history as the site for meeting wher the Roma rally was planned.
The site is very large grassy area on the banks of the lake created by the dam. Lots of boaty people come here for waterskiing and so on. We parked well away from the people with kids to get a quiet night.
