We planned to spend some time at Sherwood Forest so, after doing the shopping, we headed south.

On the way I stopped in at Camec to buy the parts I needed to finish the installation of the tank When we arrived we found that Peter was in hospital having had a minor heart attack. He was later transferred to Brisbane where they did an angiogram and found only a minor problem which will be treated with drugs.

Pip'n'Mel arrived back from an unsuccessful trip north where the gig they were supposed to be playing was cancelled at the eleventh hour.

The mice we had suffered from since our stay in Lawnton caused a considerable amount of trouble by getting into the long term food storage cupboard requiring us to buy yet another covered storage box. They were particularly hard to catch as they managed to take the bait from the traps without setting them off. I finally adjusted the traps to a very high sensitivity and we caught two of them in one night. There don't seem to be any more but we will maintain vigilance just in case.

The Maitlands arrived having just got their motorhome back from Denning after extensive repairs.

Keryn's dog, Fugly, made herself very unpopular by attacking Peter and Mary's dog, Sam. Sam needed vet attention for two puncture wounds to his chest but seemed to recover quite well.

I got the repairs to the alarm swithches done. I will need to get some modifications to the new tank when I get back to Brisbane and then complete the plumbing to put the new tank into use. The new arrangements for the trailer ramps work very well and it is now much easier to load and unload the car. I had to adjust the stowed angle and will need to constrain the ramps from sideways movement when we are travelling to avoid damage to the car.

I noticed that I had recently damaged the nearside tail light during a trailer jack-knife incident. On stripping the lamp assembly out to repair it, I found that the timber surround of the lamp assembly aperture had been damaged by water ingress after a previous jack-knife incident. I stripped the damaged timber out and replaced it.
