Tuesday 20th

I woke up with a bad belly ache. I had been off colour for a day or two so something needed attention. I decided that I would prefer to be in Brisbane if anything bad was happening.

We had to see the solicitor so I arranged to see him as we were driving past on the way to Lawnton. He is a very likeable person and reassured us that he would take care of everything for us while keeping us well informed about the process.

We visited Wyllie Park and then settled in to our usual spot at Lawnton Showground. There were two motorhomes already there so we will have some company.

I had made an appointment to see the doctor in the afternoon. She assured me that my problem was a minor inflammation which should settle down with an suitable diet and some antibiotic. I asked for a referral for a colonoscopy as it is about eight years since I was checked out. I'll get that done when the present problem has settled down.

Wednesday 21st

I went to the laundromat and when I got back to Lawnton, the other motorhomes had gone so we are on our own again.

I decided to have a quiet day hoping that the antibiotic would work quickly. I'll get the installation of the new pumps done sometime.

I had got some new genealogical software to try so I spent some time with that. Having decided that it would be good to change over from the old program, I found that it had written corrupted files and I will have a major job to do to get the data across. I guess that will keep me out of mischief for a bit.

Thursday 22nd

Another day of rest apart from the mountain of work on the genealogical database.

Friday 23rd

We went to Tai Chi in the morning. We had missed last weeks class and were worried that we wouldn't be able to catch up. As it happened, the whole class needed to revise last weeks moves so we were able to catch up reasonably well.

Saturday 24th

We took a trip in the Little Motley to Glenwood to take some photos of the property.

The best of the photos are in this gallery

We also took the GPS co-ordinates which are S 25°56' E 152°37'.

The drive only took 2 hours each way so we were back in time for happy hour. Happily, when we returned to the showground, some very good motorhoming friends had joined our encampment so we had congenial company.

Sunday 25th

We met the family and Al at Cafe Zanetti for brunch. Afterwards, we went to Patricks Road to take advantage of the ADSL connection to update both websites and to download some new software.

Monday 26th

We stayed in all day to mind the dog for Pat and Brian.

I have found an easier way of coping with the corrupted gedcom files. I still have about 400 corrections to make but at least the process is direct and on screen rather than buried in three hundred sheets of paper. I will work through the corrections bit by bit. I will then have to check the whole database for accuracy before I can change over to the new program. I just hope that all the effort is worthwhile in the end.

Tuesday 27th

We went to Caboolture to check out some more manufactured houses. They were all pretty nice and the normal deal is that they put in the stumps and install the building all in the price. We would till have to put in a septic tank and a rainwater tank and make the connections but it could all be pretty painless.

On the way back we also checked out relocated houses. These were a lot cheaper but who wants to spend countless hours and untold dollars refurbishing a badly dilapidated old house which has been bent and twisted until everything is skew whiff.

It is becoming clearer by the day that we will have to buy a manufactured house of some kind. It only remains to determine which one, from whom and when.

Wednesday 28th

Jean's hearing aid was ready so we went to Mitchelton, picked up the hearing aid,, had coffee at Cafe Zanetti and returned to Lawnton for happy hour with Brian and Pat.
