Sunday 23rd

I woke up at twenty to eleven. I guess I needed more sleep. I did feel better and managed to do some chores.

We had had the first frost of the season overnight. The hose which supplies the tank water to the kitchen had frozen up so we had one town water until the sun thawed out the hose. I will have to empty the hose overnight to avoid a freezing failure.

I spent the afternoon watching the motor racing on TV.

Monday 24th

We went to Tamworth for Jean's CT scan. The results won't be back for ten days so we'll have to endure some more cold weather before we can escape to Queensland.

We stopped for coffee at The Homestead and downloaded some more software. After the scan we had a snack at the Muffin Break and did some more shopping.

Tuesday 25th

Another cold night but without a frost. It was still pretty cold in the house and I had to fire up the gas heater to make it a bit comfortable. The thought of heading of to Queensland seems more attractive every day.

I did some more work on the documents for the Scheme.

Wednesday 26th

Jean went to have her hair cut at the hairdresser recommended by Mell Powell and Elsie-May. She was quite happy with the result even though the cut was a bit shorter than she wanted.

I took the Motley off the blocks to dump the black water and used it to take the big gas bottle for replacement. While I was out, I filled up with diesel at local prices! I got some other chores done before I had lie down in the afternoon.

Thursday 27th

In the morning I mended the catch on the living room door. I had put the door back on its hinges to keep the cold our but it wouldn't stay shut. It was a simple job that turned into a bit of a nightmare but it got done.

In the afternoon I set out to wash a bit of the Motley. From somewhere a spurt of enthusiasm infected me and I did the whole thing. This left me in need of a long sit down.

Friday 28th

This day is lost in a bit of memory loss. I failed to record it while it was still fresh in my mind and now it's a blur. I can only assume that I didn't do anything useful.

I remember now that I cooked some roast pork for dinner which was very delicous.

Saturday 29th

In the morning I set about backing up the iBook to the iPod and to the old iBook. I found that I had 123MB of mail so I did a couple of hours tidying that up. I didn't achieve much reduction in volume but the whole thing is more orderly now.

I spent the afternoon drafting a new document for the Club.
