The thermostat on the fridge had failed, again, so I rang Electrolux in Brisbane to arrange a repair. They have moved since I last went to them and they have contracted out the repair of RV equipment to a place in Lawnton called Caravan Refrigeration Service. I booked the Motley in for Tuesday and we left Kalbar after lunch and settled in to our favourite site in Lawnton Showground.

The repair was done well and quickly, if a little expensively, and we are back in business.

I had had trouble with both printing and with backing up to CDROM on the new iBook. To fix the printing problem I swapped my Stylewriter for an unused Canon 2100 and to fix the backup problem I bought a copy of Toast v5.2.1. We are now back in good shape though I still have to buy new ink cartridges for the printer.

We spent each day at Patricks Road, or at Cafe Zanetti. We got various repairs done including some stiffening for the washing machine stand which is designed to stop it walking all over the laundry when spinning at high speed.

I took a bit sick again so I took some time out to recover.

On Saturday, we went to another scrapbooking marathon. This time we survived until eight o'clock by which time we were both very tired.

On Sunday we celebrated Mother's Day with a monster curry and rice lunch. There was so much food that we didn't touch the vegetable curry which languished in the microwave oven where it had been reheated. A gigantic trifle added the final nail in the coffin of any attempt to follow our various diets. Everyone seemed to enjoy the meal and the ladies were happy that they didn't have to do any work.
