Friday 4th

I set off for Barraba at about seven and arrived before noon.

The roses had come out while I was away and looked pretty pretty.

In the afternoon, I visited the Samin's at a happy hour for the Highway Wanderers attending the chapter gathering. Both Vicki and I checked the showground several times during the afternoon but no-one had arrived though two people had said they would be here on Friday.

Saturday 5th

I went into town to see one of the Festival events, a Comedie del Arte show. The audience numbered at least a dozen people which must have been pretty hard on the performers.

In the afternoon it started to rain quite heavily so I didn't go out again. John was singing in the Barrapella Choir in the evening entertainment so he had to go. They had relocated the show to the RSL Hall because of the weather and the audience was big enough to fill the hall. John said the show was very good, even the school acts were top rate.
