We left Caloundra intent on exploring the Redcliffe area.

Scarborough, our third town of the same name after Scarborough in Yorkshire and Scarborough in Tobago, is a pleasant little seaside resort overlooking Moreton Island. There is nowhere for a comfortable stay in a Winnebago.

We investigated Redcliffe, Margate, and Clontarf. None is a match for its British equivalent. The only caravan parks were slums so we headed into the hinterland.

Caboolture is a big town with no apparent redeeming features. The caravan park is jammed between the highway and the creek and, judging by the size of the sites, the land must be worth several million dollars an hectare (40% of several million dollars an acre).

We eventually found the Mt Tibrogargan Relaxapark which, despite its "cute" name, was very pleasant with lots of trees and a beaut view of the eponymous mountain.

With overcast weather looming on Monday morning, we decided to have a lay day
