We left Nambour late in the afternoon as we had a date with Sarah and Ian at a school fund raiser in Brisbane.

We made good time, just an hour for 100 km (60 miles), and we visited the best fish shop in Arana Hills for our very good supper.

We were joined for a team of six by a fellow school mum and her mother. The evening was quite fun as we had been encouraged to bring plenty to drink. Sarah and Ian were upset because we only came sixth out of twenty three. I thought it was pretty good, especially as we had got through half a dozen assorted bottles of wine between us.

We did win some prizes. Karen won one of the "heads and tails" competitions and I won the look-alike competition for my Richard Attenborough.

The night made a nett $1400 for the music department of Kelly's school. Altogether a successful evening.

Being in no state to drive anywhere, we stopped overnight in the car park at the Community Hall.
