[Earlier Visits]

We left early to head north.

Before we left, and again before we got to Armidale, we rang Charlie with a view to visiting him for morning tea but there was no reply either time.

We stopped instead at the Mother of Ducks Lagoon in Guyra but all the birds were hiding.

We drove on to Glen Innes. The caravan park we prefer to stay in here, the Blue Sapphire, could not take us because they have had 175 mm (7 inches) of rain in the last three days and, being close to the water table at the low end of town, the black soil and would not support the Motley. The owner advised us to go to the Poplar Caravan Park which is up the hill and on much firmer ground.

Considering it was still raining, we had a relatively snug night.

I spent some of the afternoon tracking down a leak in one of the hatches in the bathroom. When it is dry, I'll reseal it.
