Wednesday 6th

We had accepted an invitation to go to the Wide Bay Wanderers gathering at Burrum Heads at the weekend and, as it is about 300 km (180 miles) from Brisbane, we decided to stopover at Carters Ridge on the way.

By the time we had packed up, dumped the black water, done the shopping and had a cup of coffee, it was midday. We had a leisurely drive north, stopping for lunch at the rest area north of Yandina, where we spent some time with a beauthiful Lace Monitor, and arrived at Koorunga just in time for afternoon tea. Helene is in Bundaberg at the moment visiting her mother for her birthday so there were just the three of us. Happy hour was late but I had remembered to load up some of the Guinness left over from the Super Bowl party so it was OK.

Thursday 7th

I did some repairs to the Motley. swimming in between tasks as it was really hot and sweaty. In the afternoon it rained so we veged out.

We had dinner with Helene and Philip and chatted until after eight. Once again, it has been a pleasure and a privilege to stay here.
