We had resolved to use the time waiting for the mail and the money to visit Wave Rocks. This is near a town called Hyden about 320 km (200 miles) east of Perth.
We stopped at York for coffee and a walk around the town. This is Perth's equivalent to Hahndorf near Adelaide or Montville north of Brisbane. York is a pleasant town with the old buildings retained and cared for but it isn't overly commercial so its a nice place to visit We got as far as Daigin about half way to Hyden before we found a rest area to park in. The road is busy and the railway line well used but we'll be cosy and safe here.
