We set off early to drive to Brisbane because there was still a fair way to go and we wanted to settle in before evening. As we were driving through Bald Hills, I asked why the school children were leaving school at four o'clock when Jean realised that we were still on NSW time and it was only three o'clock Queensland time. D'uh!.

Tuesday 23rd

We met Rachel and Claire at the airport. Claire is such an engaging child. She was happy to come to her grandfather as though she could remember me from last time she visited a year ago. She sat in a high chair at Cafe Zanetti and ate the best part of a small serving of pasta. When we went back to Patricks Road, she played happily with Kelly and Ross and only got grizzly when she missed her Daddy at bedtime.
