Sunday 26th

We had had enough of high density living and there was nothing to keep us at the rally so we headed off. As we needed to get some shore power to bring the house batteries back up, the choice of destinations was Oakey or Lawnton. We chose Lawnton as it was cheaper and we could settle in for a little while.

We met up briefly with Pat, the pilot, who is camped here and she told us that there has been a spate of break-ins at the showground so we are a bit worried about staying here. We have to see the doctor soon so we'll be here for a day or two but we won't leave the Motley longer than we have to.

It such a relief to be in a quiet place again, it's a pity that somebody wants to spoil it.

Monday 27th

I did the laundry in the morning and we had happy hour with Pat who came back briefly to Lawnton before going off again on another job.

I christened the Cobb cooker with a roast leg of lamb with roast potatoes and pumpkin. It was really good so we felt that we had made a good choice.

Tuesday 28th

We did a major housekeeping thing in the morning, used the TENS machine on Jeans's back and on my thumb, and then rested up.

We went to the doctor in the afternoon to get new scrips.
