When I got up I checked the mousetrap and I had another dead mouse to dispose of. I re-set the trap.

We had another couple of hundred kilometres to go to Horsham so we headed for St Arnaud which is about half way. Before we set off, I checked the mousetrap and the bait had been stolen again. I re-set the trap.

We stopped to shop at Elmore and at Raywood where we had morning tea. I checked the mousetrap only to find the bait gone and no mouse. I modified the trap by adding a little platform on the trigger so that the mouse would have to step on it whatever direction it was approaching from.

On the way to St Arnaud we passed a sign to Melville Caves and I remembered that someone somewhere had said there was a nice campground there so we turned off to take a look. The campground was a bit squeeze for the Motley so we took the lat and long and went back to the picnic ground for lunch. On the way out I misread the map and we took a bit of a detour down to the highway. We are always happy to travel on roads we haven't been on before so we enjoyed the extra distance.

We got to Kooreh Hall in time for lunch. After lunch the mousetrap went off again and we had our fourth victim. I re-set the trap. If we have rid ourselves of all the hitchhikers, we will know because the bait will remain intact. If we catch another mouse, or if the bait is stolen again, we will have to continue the battle.
