Thursday 8th

We set off before ten o'clock (a bit early for us) and did three long legs each about 125 km (75 miles) to reach Lawnton Showground just before five o'clock.

We found several old friends in residence but the chill of the evening drove us all indoors.

Friday 9th

I mentioned the need for a new wheel to Greg and he immediately rang one of his mates and arranged for me to buy one from a car wrecker. He also arranged for a second hand tyre but when I got there it had gone. The guy is getting a new one in for Monday.

I managed to get to see the doctor who prescribed an antibiotic to ensure that the infection doesn't develop into something worse.

Saturday 10th

I went out to do the shopping and went downhill from there. By nightfall I was feeling decidedly second hand.

Sunday 11th

I slept pretty well and got up feeling a good deal better.

We went to Ascot to have coffee with Alain.

In the afternoon, Sarah and the kids visited the Motley on their way to a short holiday at Caloundra.

Monday 12th

The day dawned clear and bright so I took the opportunity to do the laundry.

In the afternoon, I picked up the replacement trailer tyre and visited the Bendigo Bank to fix up a problem of having two accounts at opposite ends of the country.
