We decided to take a diversion to take in Lake Careligo and Condobolin. The road is signposted a "scenic route" but, for the most part, the road was just another country road.

We had morning tea beside the lake at Lake Careligo which was very pleasant.

We reached Condobolin in time for lunch and decided to camp at Gum Bend Lake, a well known camp spot near the town. This is a quite large man made lake which is used for motor boating and water-skiing. It is raised above the surrounding countryside so the view from the Motley does not include the lake.
