Thursday 4th

We had breakfast with the Fitzhardinges and packed the cars ready for departure. Rachel wanted to visit the local kite shop but we found it had closed so that was a bit of a facer.

It had been a wonderful visit. I was so glad that I met Julia who is a heavenly child. She seems to be a very contemplative person as her expression is normally quite thoughtful but I did get a couple of brilliant smiles which really light up anyone to whom they are directed. Claire was a bit shy of her grandfather because she couldn't remember him but she did thaw before we left and I'm sure she was pleased to see us. It was great to catch up with Rachel and Jeremy again too.

They say they are planning a week somewhere on the North Coast with as many of the family as they can muster next Easter so we'll plan to be there.

We needed to get back to Barraba before nightfall so we left Katoomba at about half past ten. We stopped briefly for lunch at Singleton and pressed on up the New England Highway. The trip back was took over seven hours and was very tiring.

Friday 5th

We both had a good night's sleep but we were both very stiff after so long on the road in the Little Motley.

We did the laundry and a few small chores.

Saturday 6th

We spent the day resting.

The local CDMA base station managed to cut me off from several incoming calls before it went away completely. I actually drove 10 kim out of town trying to get service but to no avail.
