Sunday 17th

I woke up feeling pretty good.

We went to the Bowling Club at a quarter to ten. I was asked to do the raffle which took all my time until just after lunch. I developed a pretty bad headache which eventually responded to some painkillers. I arranged with the President to draw the raffle just after lunch so I could take the rest of the day off.

The good news is that we raised over $1200 towards the cost of the Lions Christmas Tree.

I spent the rest of the afternoon watching the Moto GP bike race on TV.

Monday 18th

We waited in vain for the plumber to come. I rang him and he said he'd come tomorrow. I do hope he does.

I spent the day doing chores and updating the HW website.

Tuesday 19th

Hooray. We have a working bathroom. with hot and cold water. Its taken some time but it has happened. There is still some work to be done on the new wall but at least we no longer have to go to the laundry to wash or go to the Motley to shower.

We celebrated with a special meal of Chicken Tikka Masala and Custard Danish.

Wednesday 20th

We spent the day preparing for our visit to Brisbane. We plan to go tomorrow and to come back next Wednesday as I have a meeting on Thursday.
