Sunday 28th Jan

Another day spent doing very little. I cooked some corned beef , I watched some cricket, and I worked on the new website, but didn't do much physical work.

I have been having trouble for some time getting the wireless modem to give me a good internet connection. I suspect the problem with the motherboard of the iBook is the primary cause. Today I found that the Minmax driver was misbehaving, telling me that I had been disconnected when I hadn't.

Monday 29th Jan

We went to Tamworth to get some decent access to the internet and to do a bit of shopping.

I had organised the design of the new kitchen so we sought a quotation for the cupboards and the bench tops. We went to find the firm that we had been to previously but it wasn't there any more. We went to a firm across the road to ask for help and found that it was the same firm but they now only do stone benchtops. The lady gave me an address which turned out to be a firm we had visited earlier. They offered to prepare a quote for us.

Tuesday 30th Jan

I was up very early so that I could work on the trailer brakes in the cool part of the day. The job extended to dealing with all the wheels to adjust and repack the bearings and change the tyres round so I didn't get it all done before the heat of the day kicked in. I found that I had bought a length of cable to replace the broken one which was too short so I'll have to have another go.

The guy from The Kitchen Men rang with the quote. I was amazed that it was $300 less than I had expected.

In the afternoon I did more work on the new website while I watched the Kiwis and the Poms playing pyjama cricket.

I had to go to bed early as I was falling asleep watching TV.

Wednesday 31st Jan

I got to work before it got too hot and finished the work on the trailer before a late breakfast. We went to town to do the shopping and stopped at the Country Cafe for morning tea. When I got home I found that I was very stiff, presumably because of all the bending and lying on the ground.

In the afternoon I took refuge in the Motley. I had planned to do some work on restocking the Motley in preparation for a weekend away with the Northwest Nomads chapter of the CMCA at Dumaresq Dam near Armidale.

Thursday 1st Feb

We spent the best part of the day loading the Motley. As is our usual practice, we moved into the Motley to check that everything was working.
