Sunday 11th

The weather seems to have settled down. It was much less hot and the rain had gone away. I was unable to do any physical work so I got some document reviews done.

Goop wasn't responding in the morning but it came good by five o'clock in the afternoon.

Monday 12th

I was still under the weather so I rested most of the day. In the afternoon I found that the rain had made a lot of catheads sprout from seeds so I began to root them out. Catheads are horrible weeds that have seeds like cavalry tacks with sharp spikes in four different directions. They get into the soles of your shoes and then get transferred to the carpet where they attack you bare feet. They are very hardy plants and need a lot of control to stop them taking over. It started to rain before I got a lot done so I will have to get at it again tomorrow.

In the evening I finished the latest revision of the documentation.

Tuesday 13th

I did a few bursts of weeding out catheads but didn't get the job finished. I did find that there are more in the back yard so the task has got quite a bit bigger.

Wednesday 14th

I found that my Mail files have been corrupted with many duplicated emails (up to four copies of the same one). As I have kept all the emails I have ever received and have sent the file is very bloated. I tried to find a smart way of fixing the problem but without success. I started a programme of manually deleting the offending stuff and will eventually get back to a reasonable situation. I will then archive the old stuff so that it is still accessible but doesn't clutter up the current files.

I did a a few short bursts of weeding.

I finished the work on the new website for Eco-Camping Australia and we are now live.

Thursday 15th

I finished cleaning out the email files which reduced the size from 143MB to 150MB. What! I also stimulated a glitch in Mail which will have to be sorted. I found that some email had disappeared so I will have to upload the backup and presumably do the clean out all again. It should be a bit easier this time as I have some idea what is missing.

I did a a few more short bursts of weeding.

We went to the Lions Dinner. The District Governor's had come and he performed the induction of our newest member. I had to give up my position as the newest member after only eight months. All the members were there with their partners and we had an enjoyable evening. I was singled out as an extrovert and a reciter of entertaining poetry.

Friday 16th

I got up early to do some more short weeding in the cool. I got a fair bit done but I had to knock off. I did a few more short bursts during the morning and finished the front lawn. There is still the back lawn and the back paddock to do!

I received my enrolment for a writing course on the U3A Online and spent some time downloading the course material and taking a first look at it. My ambition is that I can revise my memoir to make it "less dry". We'll see.

Saturday 17th

I was awake early again.

I did weeding all day in short bursts. I got quite a lot done but there's still much to do. At least I'm getting a lot of exercise.
