Monday 23rd

We pressed on up the hill, stopping at Kilcoy hoping to empty the wastewater tanks and fill the fresh water tanks. Unfortunately the council have put a fence across the original entrance and the dump point is no longer accessible by rigs as big as the Motley. We tried to find a suitable site to camp on without success. We decided to press on up the hill, and never to think of stopping in Kilcoy again.

We got to Moore and found the main part of the rest area inaccessible to rigs as big as the Motley. We parked in the street to have morning tea. After that I went for a walk and found that I could get into the secondary area by driving across a fairly deep drain with only a little bit of adventure. We took up our new position and settled in for the rest of the day and night.

There is very restricted TV reception here, the town transmitter as only 1 channel, ABC, and has a power of 10 watts which makes it kind of difficult to pluck the programme out of the background clutter. In the evening we got watchable pictures and had a couple of hours of entertainment.

Tuesday 24th

I felt less than 100% so I decided to stay another day in this pleasant place. I slept quite bit in the morning.

I talked to Ross and found that I had sent a "pages" version of the document I wanted him to review and his PC had spat the dummy fearing the file contained a virus. He also asked for some changes to the latest page on the website. I sent the document as an RTF and I revised the page on the website about toilet chemicals. It now looks pretty much like the best available advice for RV users on this subject.

After lunch I rested up some more.
