We had been told that the chapter would have a meeting to see if anyone wanted to travel in convoy but this never happened. We had morning tea and then headed off by ourselves in the direction of Barcaldine.

When we reached Gayndah which is one of our favourite towns, we filled up with diesel and went looking for our favourite camp spot only to find it signed "NO CAMPING". we drove to the next campsite, Claude Wharton Weir, only to find that the GPS had led us to the wrong side of the river, We eventually got to the right place and found several of the vehicles from the weekend gathering already there. We found a spot to park, albeit on a bit of a slope, and joined them in afternoon tea and happy hour.

There being no TV, we settled in for an early night.
