After lunch on Sunday we had to leave Orroral Valley and head on south.

We had a choice of routes.

We could go back north to Calwell and then drive south to Cooma on the highway and then go north west to Adaminaby.

We could take the gravel road straight on south through the Namadgi National Park and save lots of kilometres and lots of litres of fuel. It would be a bit of an adventure.

The sun was shining and the portents were looking good so we went for the adventure.

The views were great, the bush was great, the traffic was easy and the road was dry so we experienced no dramas.

There was a definite sense of achievement as we got back on the tarmac close to Adaminaby and passed the turning to Reynella, last visited in the mid eighties when Rachel went on a high country horse trek.

The weather being on the nippy side we stopped in a caravan park overnight.
