Saturday 25th

We left Mirrool and headed for Jerilderie where there is a dump point and there is said to be camping spots by the creek. We used the dump point but decided not to investigate the camping spots as it was raining and we didn't want to get bogged in.

We pressed on to Finley. On the way we saw a very big rain storm to the west but as we passed it we were inundated by heavy rain and strong winds.

The rest area just north of Finley is just a truck stop so we went on to the caravan park which offers really cheap rates for self-contained campers.

We were surprised to meet an old friend from the Highway Wanderers who was on the way to Cowell on the Eyre Peninsula. He was happy houring with some other motorhomers we had not met before so we had a pleasant hour before the rain drove us all indoors.

Sunday 26th

The storm we had suffered yesterday had gone when we woke up and the sky was clear and bright.

We decided to stay on another day so that I could do the laundry and we could have a rest from travelling.
