Sunday 25th Feb

I had a Lion's BBQ at the swimming carnival. It was really hot and I had to go out to get some water to drink for all four of us. Just as we had finished putting the gear away in the shed, it started to rain and we had a bit to fill the tank before the sun came out again.

I had a phone call cancelling a working bee tomorrow which was a relief. I have to do a tip run to dispose of a whole lot of packaging we have accumulated over the time we have been here as I needed the space in the store room. I also have to get a big gas bottle which means getting the Motley and trailer out.

Monday 26th Feb

We have arranged to be in Brisbane next week and we planned to go to a chapter gathering at Nundle this coming weekend, I'll try and get the Motley ready for an extended trip so we can go to Brisbane straight from Nundle but if we need to we can come back via Barraba to get any stuff we missed.

I did the tip run and took the Motley to the hardware shop to get a new bottle of gas. I had to whipper snip the Motley parking space before parking. I got sucked into more weeding and had to have another shower and another change of clothes.

Tuesday 27th Feb

We had appointments with the doctor and the solicitor.

The doctor gave us our influenza vaccinations. The solicitor was interested to learn that we have a meeting with the CMCA and he wants to know how the meeting goes before we do anything.

I started to get stuff together to move into the Motley. The checklist is in order nearly so there should be no dramas.

Wednesday 28th Feb

I spent most of the day moving stuff into the Motley and got most of the move done. All that remains for tomorrow is food, clothes, and a few utensils. We will be ready to head off for an extended trip on Friday

Thursday 1st Mar

It rained through the night and didn't let up in the morning. I had left the main hatch open but the rain must have been coming from the east as there was no water inside.

The rain made it difficult to complete the loading of the Motley but we eventually managed to dodge the rain and got finished by tea time. I was pretty much cactus after eight hours of to-ing and fro-ing with lots of stuff.

I had a Lions board meeting in the evening. I tried to arrange to be a Lion-at-large while we are on the road but they have changed the system and I made my extended apologies and will be recorded as a Privileged Member. I won't be pinged for not going to meetings and I will be able to visit other Lions clubs while we are away.
