Friday 2nd

We didn't get away from Barraba until 11.15 am because we had to move the last of the gear and I had to switch off the electricity, gas and water.

I realised that we needed to replace two of the tyres on the trailer before we go on the road again so we stopped in Tamworth. The guy at Beaurepaires said he could do the job in an hour so we decided to have lunch at the Homestead. I downloaded some software updates while I had access to a high speed connection.

The truck was ready to go at two o'clock. We headed for Nundle and stopped at Chaffey Dam to check out the water level which is critically low.

We made it to Nundle in time for happy hour with the North West Nomads. There were only a few there as most of the chapter still work and can't get away until late Friday.

Saturday 3rd

I did a bit of shopping and we had a morning tea with musical accompaniment from Doreen on her keyboard. When she had had enough I did a bit of poetry reading. Jean went to town to check out the shops and to visit the Woollen Mills.

I veged out in the afternoon and we went to happy hour at five o'clock. We were blessed with a visit from an Eastern Water Dragon.

In the evening we had a communal dinner. We had made a Sea Pie casserole which went down well.

We were blessed at dinner with a visit from a Red Fox. I know they are dangerous feral animals which have caused much damage to the indigenous fauna but they are really cute especially when they come visiting.

Sunday 4th

Another beautiful day. We had a morning tea provided by the caravan park which was excellent. We chatted a lot. In the afternoon, someone brought out some Boules and I was pressed into a game. In the evening, we had a comunal barbecue and much more chatting.
