October 2012The Terios has been totally repairedTuesday , 23rd October 2012I was so pleased because the Barraba Motors finished the repair on the Terios yesterday and I have it back. I was able to return the Ford I had borrowed from the McAlpines because I needed to go shopping in Barraba and to medical appointments in Tamworth. Jean insisted that I gave them a present of a big box full of fresh fruit from the Tony at the Barraba Fruit & Vege shop. Mark & Kathy were very pleased with this I was very pleased with the loan of the ford. I am very happy to have the Terios back in top condition. A wonderful David Attenborough FilmSaturday , 20th October 2012The TV programme was a great David Attenborough one about lizards. The first ones he showed were Lace Monitors in central Australia. I was most impressed because we had seen Lace Monitors in lots of places in Australia. Seaspray near Sale in Victoria, Bingara north of Barraba in NSW, Fraser Island off the mid coast of Queensland, Piliga Forest in western NSW, Iluka, east of Grafton in NSW, Koorunga in Qld in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland in Qld , Yandina south of Koorunga, Lake Mournpal in the Hattah National Park in Victoria, Leyburn west of Brisbane, Upper Manilla south of Barraba NSW. Another good repairSunday, 7th October 2012I took my Macbook "ex" to my son Alain in Brisbane because it had some ineffective changes in the Finder, Copies could not be done and emptying the trash could not be done He worked hard to identify the cause of the problem and discovered that it was a software error. He fixed it and sent the Macbook back to me and I was most impressed with what he had done. I had been using my earlier Macbook "nein" and this caused there to be missing data in lots of files I use. That Macbook also had a problem operating the big Pond modem. I had to do lots of file updates but I am now back in the right place. The fixed Macbook "ex" is now really good with all the problems gone. |
